RD Management Welcomes Aldi to Academy Plaza in Huntsville, Alabama

RD Management LLC, one of the nation’s largest privately held real-estate development and management organizations, announced today a lease agreement with Aldi at its Academy Plaza in Huntsville, Alabama. Aldi will occupy 21,600 square feet of the 102,962-square-foot shopping center and is expected to open in mid-November of this year.
Aldi, one of the fastest-growing retailers in the United States, offers reasonable prices and discounts on premium food and household products. The Aldi shopping experience is unique as customers can find special items that change from week to week, while also picking up their fresh produce, meat, and dairy staples. Over the past decade, Aldi has almost doubled in size with nearly 2,000 total stores in the U.S. and is planning to reach 2,500 by 2020. Aldi is proud to serve more than 45 million customers per month throughout the U.S.

Academy Plaza is located at the intersection of 2900 South Memorial Parkway Southwest and Drake Avenue Southwest in Madison County. Situated across from Parkway Place Mall in a busy retail corridor, Academy Plaza is surrounded by popular big-box retailers such as Dillard’s, Belk, Men’s Wearhouse, American Eagle Outfitters, Chico’s, Lane Bryant, and Charlotte Russe. Academy Plaza is seen by an average of 93,000 cars per day and has ample parking for guests. Aldi will join anchor tenant Academy Sports + Outdoors at the shopping center.
