RD Management Brings Family Farm and Home Store to Maryland

Long Meadow Shopping Center in Hagerstown will be the chain’s first location in the state
RD Management LLC, one of the nation’s largest privately held real-estate development and management organizations, announced today it has signed a lease with Family Farm & Home to anchor its Long Meadow Shopping Center in Hagerstown, Maryland, its first location in the state. Family Farm & Home will occupy 30,000 square feet of the 164,293-square-foot center and expects to open in summer 2018.
Family Farm & Home is a family owned and operated company based out of Michigan that operates 56 stores in three states. Family Farm & Home offers merchandise oriented to rural and suburban living, including pet, horse, and livestock feeds and accessories; farm supplies; home heating; lawn and garden equipment; hardware; automotive; work clothing; and footwear.

Family Farm & Home has grown significantly since opening its first three locations in 2002. The specialized retailer of agricultural and home products plans to continue its growth expansion throughout the Midwest. The Michigan-based retailer is excited to open its first Maryland store and is gearing up to serve the Hagerstown Community later this year.

Long Meadow Shopping Center is located at 1545 Potomac Avenue (Route 60) and Northern Avenue in a high-growth area of Washington County. Family Farm & Home will join current tenants including Pennsylvania Dutch Market, CVS, Dollar General, and McDonald’s. The center also offers ample parking and is situated across from a complementary shopping center with a Lowe’s and Weis Markets.
RD Management owns two properties in Maryland and has more than 150 properties in its national portfolio. Long Meadow Shopping Center offers redevelopment opportunity for new anchor tenants and a future pad building for ground-floor retail and second-floor offices.
