RD Management Signs Lease with Dillard’s at University Mall in Tampa, Florida

RD Management LLC, one of the nation’s largest privately held real estate development and management organizations, has entered a lease agreement with Dillard’s at University Mall in Tampa, Florida. Dillard’s will relocate from its existing location within the mall to occupy the former Macy’s space.

Dillard’s ranks among the nation’s largest fashion retailers, offering a broad selection of merchandise and feature products from both national and exclusive brand sources. Dillard’s is amongst a number of other popular retail stores at University Mall, which RD Management is redeveloping into a mixed-use facility that will include retail, residential, hospitality, office, and medical spaces.

“The continued operation of Macy’s was never part of the long-term plans for the redevelopment of University Mall,” said Roger Hirschhorn, COO of RD Management. “While we were sorry to see this store close, we are excited that Dillard’s is moving to another section of the mall. University Mall is a great property and we remain steadfast in our commitment to its transformation to a mixed-use property that will include residential, hospitality, retail, office and medical uses and will become a top destination for the community.”

University Mall is one of ten properties owned by RD Management across Florida, and one of more than 200 properties in its national portfolio.

Other Florida properties RD Management has acquired, developed, and/or redeveloped include: Fern Park Plaza in Fern Park; Lowe’s Shopping Center in Fern Park; a mixed use development including retail, apartments, and office space in Gainesville; Groves Shopping Center in Lakeland; Merchants Crossing in North Fort Myers; Seminole Centre in Sanford; and Shady Oaks Shopping Center in Ocala.
