RD Management Welcomes P. Terry’s Burger Stand to Shops at Tech Ridge in Austin, Texas

P. Terry’s brings 55 jobs to the area with the opening of its 18th location
RD Management LLC, one of the nation’s largest privately held real-estate development and management organizations, has announced the grand opening of P. Terry’s Burger Stand — a staple drive-thru and quick service restaurant serving all-natural burgers, fries, and handspun milkshakes — at its Shops at Tech Ridge in Austin, Texas. The stand occupies a 1,100-square-foot pad site and serves as the company’s 18th location. The opening brings approximately 55 jobs to the area, helping to combat the impact of coronavirus on the local economy. Scott Sams represented P. Terry’s, and Lance Morris and PJ Kaminer of The Retail Connection represented RD Management in the deal.

P. Terry’s at Shops at Tech Ridge features the company’s unique Googie architecture, a large triangle-shaped canopy, double drive-thru lanes, and walk-up window. The stand will remain open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. The opening of this location comes on the heels of the company’s recent Georgetown opening, and the company plans to open its UT-Austin location off MLK and Guadalupe in May, despite operating limitations imposed by the current pandemic. At Shops at Tech Ridge, P. Terry’s will join well-known tenants such as Furniture Mall of Texas, Floor & Decor, Fitness Connection, Conn’s HomePlus, Ross Dress for Less, Burke’s Outlet, and PetSmart.

Shops at Tech Ridge is a 519,354-square-foot power center located on I-35 North, just a 15-minute drive from downtown Austin. Situated in a bustling retail and technology corporation corridor, approximately 180,000 cars per day see the three multi-tenant pylon signs from I-35. Shops at Tech Ridge is within one mile of Parmer Innovation Center, an extensive business park where GM, Dell, Home Depot, 3M Corp., Natera, Allergan, and Blue Apron are tenants. Within close proximity to the center will be the highly anticipated St. David’s Performance Center, Austin FC’s new $45 million, 23-acre training facility. The 129-acre high tech office campus at 7700 Parmer Lane which includes tenants such as eBay, PayPal, Electronic Arts, Polycom, Deloitte, and D&B is also close by. Adding to the booming tech scene, Apple recently broke ground on a $1 billion campus that will open in 2022 and employ 15,000 people. In addition, sitting right behind the shopping center is Austin Waters at Tech Ridge, a 300-unit multifamily complex.
